Breast cancer walk-a-thon

Yes I know it's Sunday, but I valenteered to help out with a breast cancer walk-a-thon. I did it because I have a good friend that has survived breast cancer. She has had mastectomy. She is the strongest person I know, and she is one of my best friends. She hasn't let this get her down at all. She is the most giving, helpful, loving lady I know. I wanted to honor her by helping out with this event. This morning getting up at 5 AM (after getting off work at 12 and not in bed till 1) I am really tired. I got picked up from my friend Sam. We drove to the west side to the Cottenwood mall. Bright and early. We wondered around trying to find out what were are doing. We ended up walking around ask people to sign a petition that will be sent to congress, to make sure we get to have the funds to keep doing cancer research. Between Sam and I we got 200 signed with in 2 hours. We did awesome. I am greatful to be able to valenteer as often as I can.
